Weather: Dec-Jan-Feb - cold with some rainy days but usually crisp with blue skies. Can be icy in the morning so jacket and tights, but will warm up by midday so gloves are no longer needed.
Mar-Apr-May - warming up. Peak season for cyclists. By May it's shorts and jersey. Armwarmers needed for first thing in the morning.
June-July-August-September - warm, dry and sunny. Best to ride early to avoid the heat of the afternoon: 7 or 8am.
Oct-Nov - a wonderful time of year to ride - a little cooler, around 20C so a great time to train.
Pro experience training week Get looked after like the pros. You start with a steady few hours on the bike. Next day a physical exam and stress test. After that you get a tailoered training plan for the next few goals of your season.
Daily rides of 3 to 5 hours with all food supplied. Massage and recovery in the evening. Early to bed and repeat. Stunning roads, following vehicle without a DS shouting at you.
